The Simple And Easy Merits And Demerits Of Mean, Median Mode.

--MEAN--

Mean Merits ► 

• It is easy precisely defined.
• It is easy to calculate and simple to understand.
• it give equal important to all equation.

Mean Demerits ► 

• A.M can not be defined graphically.
• A too large or too small observation will seriously effect arithmetic mea.

--Median--

Median Merits ►

• It is easy to understand and calculate.
• It is not effected by a few values in the data.
• It can be determined by graphically (Using ogive curves)

Median Demerits ►

• It is well defined but may not be unique.
• Median is not determined using all the values, It brings a position average it is least effected by changes in extreme observation, This can be looked upon as it's Demerits.

Mode Merits ►

• It is easy to understand and simple to calculate.
• It is not effected by extreme observation.
• It can be obtain graphically (Using histogram in case of group data)

Mode Demerits ►

• It is not rigidly defined.
• It may not be unique.
• It is not based on all the observation.
